Other Hand Tools
We are located on 40 beautiful acres in Elizabeth, Colorado. The namesake for our ranch comes from Rachel’s last name. The woodshop is located in our 48×60 barn, along with a metal shop and an automotive lift. You can rent time in our shop with the use of our woodworking tools to complete your project. You are welcome to bring your own tools and materials. Members enjoy access to all our power tools. If you require materials such as wood, glue, sandpaper, and so on, contact us to get a quote. This page includes descriptions of all our other hand tools that are not listed on our services page to be rented individually.
What are common hand tools used in woodworking?
There are many hand tools used in woodworking, including:
- Hand saws, such as coping saws, fret saws, and backsaws

Clamps
Our workbench features the Rockler T-rail system and clamps with bench dogs and we have a variety of clamps including box clamps, and pipe clamps.
Hand Planer
If you are looking for an old-school finish, the hand planer is a great way to shave wood off your piece.
Saws
From coping saws to hacksaws, Japanese pull saws, and crosscut hand saws, we’ve got a saw to help you finish your job.
Hammers and Mallets
We have a variety of hammers and mallets available for use in the shop. Including but not limited to multiple claw hammers, dead blows, rubber mallets, and our infamous “Thor Hammer” (a hand-made wooden mallet).
Screw Drivers and Allen Wrenches
We have a variety of different types of screwdrivers including Phillips, flathead, Torx, and Allen wrenches in various sizes and shapes, including L-shaped and T-shaped.
Chisels
A variety of small hand chisels are available to carve or whittle softwoods.
Measuring Tools
There are a variety of tools for measuring from your classic tape measure to T-squares, center finders, and a good old-fashioned ruler, we’ve got many ways for you to measure your project.
Rasps and Files
When you need to make fine adjustments to your work item, files, and rasps make those tweaks and minor adjustments our collection will help you with your project.
Hand Sanding
Sanding is critical in almost any woodworking job. We have various sandpaper, sanding blocks, and sanding paste to help you get a smooth finish on your project.
